Snowboarder Carving the Slopes
This winter, Thursday is ski day for the Winchester Recreation. Grab your skis or board and your friends and head out to Nashoba Valley for five afternoons starting Jan 9th. Beginners can learn to ski; those who are more advanced can sharpen up their skills. All participants must take a lesson. Children Also have free ski time each week. Buses for this five-week lesson program leave the Recreation Department at 3:15 sharp. We plan to return to Winchester at approximately 7:45pm, depending on traffic and weather conditions. 

If the program takes place on a school early release day, the buses will leave from a designated place school at 1:45pm. If lessons are canceled because of poor weather, we will try to add a Thursday at the end of the session. Refunds are not available, even if the season is extended because of bad weather and participants cannot attend on the alternative dates.

Release Form:
Each participant is required to fill out and submit a Snow Sports Release Form. The release
form will be provided to each Program Coordinator for distribution manually or
electronically. These release forms must be submitted prior to the first day of your program.

  • Thursday afternoon skiing and snowboarding at Nashoba Valley
  • Fee includes a lift ticket and a one hour lesson
  • Ski or snowboard rentals are separate and a pre-fitting will be held in December at the Recreation Department
  • Ski and Snowboard rentals are $115, if ordered at the pre-fit session.
